Tattnall Park will play host to two premiere events of athletic competition this Saturday, May 1 – the 1st Annual Macon Cycling Classic and Bragg Jam’s Moonlight Miles 5K.
Organizers for both events will feature live music, including the Fluffy Poodles, food and beverage vendors and family-friendly activities throughout the day in the park. The College Hill Alliance will host a FREE Big Screen Movie Night showing of the movie Rocky following the announcement of the Moonlight Miles winners.

The College Hill Corridor is giving the Soapbox Derby another run. The event will take place on Sunday, April 11, on the Magnolia Street hill, following Second Sunday Brunch in Washington Park, and ending with a block party down Magnolia Street.
Now is the time to register or sponsor a team to race in the derby. Everyone who registers will receive a free t-shirt to commemorate the event. The application and race regulations are found on the left-hand side of this site. You can also find copies at the Mercer Village merchants. Two winners will be chosen for the Soapbox Derby, one for People’s Choice and one for Fastest Car. The winner of Fastest Car will receive a $100 gift card from Zingo Transportation -- a designated-driving service -- along with 20 free custom-print t-shirts from Magnolia Press and a Soapbox Derby trophy.
