Shop Local Macon

Designed to promote the College Hill Corridor and Downtown Macon's locally owned businesses, the College Hill Alliance launched ShopLocalMacon.com. This website, now maintained by Main Street Macon, hosts business listings, articles, coupons and a sales/events calendar. By serving as a hub for these business details, the site showcases the unique contributions made to this community by local retailers, while also attracting new customers and encouraging sales within the area to boost the local economy.

ShopLocalMacon.com is able to provide these free services to local businesses thanks to a grant from the Knight Foundation and is modeled after Shop Local Milledgeville, an initiative launched by Digital Bridges. 

College Hill Macon

The College Hill Alliance is a grant function of Mercer University, funded by the
John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and is responsible for fostering neighborhood revitalization in Macon, Georgia's historic College Hill Corridor.

The Alliance's efforts focus on business recruitment and retention, lifestyle enhancement, and catalyzing commercial and residential real estate development that strengthen the historic character of College Hill.
